Mary’s family tree- narrative

Possibly "Tile Kiln Lane". With father, Charles, mother Grace, brother William (4) and sister Grace (8 months). Also Alfred Samuel, 16, lodger and servant.

Aged 16 still living with family. His brother William, aged 14, had become the "Millar's boy", presumably working for his father.

Lived in Somerset Road with wife and daughter, both names Emily.

"Reigate Foreign first comprised of several small Hamlets, Hooleigh,
Redstone, Linkfield and Frenches in later years they became part of Redhill
the area was known as Reigate Foreign.

Wray Park Road runs between two roads Alma Road and Croydon Road Reigate. If
you carry on along Croydon Road it runs into Gatton Park Road Reigate
Foreign."

Also described as "inside the manor but outside the borough"

Not sure what the "British School" was - may have been for those who couldn't afford a public shcool education.

Lived at 2 Freemans Terrace, Sydenaham Road with second wife Rebecca (34), Rebecca's mother - Rebecca Brown (60), Emily (daughter from first marriage, aged 11) and daughter Maud (3)

Lived in Buckingham House, Sydenham Road with his wife Rebecca, daughter Maud and mother-in-law (widow), Rebecca Brown, 72, "of independent means". No daughter Emily. Also there as a visitor, William Mynett, 10. Mary remembers a connection with the Mynett family.

Lived at 165 Sydenham Road with his wife Rebecca (56), daughter Maud (22) and two boarders.

With wife Rebecca, daughter Maude (aged 33) and mother in law Rebecca Brown, widow, aged 93
