Notes
Note: 1
Emily Louisa Gouldsmith (1867 and 1869) - unfortunately the birth and death records of this period don't include either of the parents' names, so I have assumed that Charles James Gouldsmith and Emily Pegram had a daughter in 1867, who then died in late 1867 or early 1868; they then had another daughter who they named as the they had their first daughter. This is unusual but not unique.
Note: 2
Emily Louisa Gouldsmith - occupation "Stationer" 1916-1919 - note that she is recorded as "Louise Emily (Miss)" and her father is not in the Post Office London County Suburbs Directory 1910-1919, so I presume she took over the business from her father who was elderly by this time.
Note: 3
Emily Louisa Gouldsmith Shepherd 1921 Census is very odd. It has her age as 44 years 8 months whereas other evidence says she is in her 50s (maybe she was hiding the 20 year age gap with her husband?); it also records her birth place as Broxbourne, Herts which is where her father was born, but not where other evidence suggests.
1901 and 1911 census are also odd - ages wrong, place of birth Melbourne, Australia !! See event notes.
