William Brown (1817) - there is an 1841 census record of a William Brown of the correct age, a gardener, married to Ann; there is a Civil Registration Death Index record for a William Brown dying in Q4 1855, plus a UK Register of Deaths at Sea recording the death of a William Brown at sea on 27 Oct 1855; but there is no way of linking these to our William Brown. He does not appear on any of the census records for his father so I assume that he left home.
